Tweeting via SMS

Past few weeks I was in a fix how to tweet without an internet connection and if possible from cell phone. While going through the web I got to know about a service named “SMSTWEET.IN” which lets you to tweet from your cell phone at normal sms tariff.

As we know that AIRTEL is also providing the service jointly with TWITTER via ‘53000’ but the charges is Re.1 per query. On the other hand its “SMSTWEET.IN” which is providing this service at the regular sms tariff which can also be free if we subscribe the SMS packs from our respective providers.

• No longer you will have to depend on your web browser or a twitter client.
• No need to install any software on your phone or use Internet on your phone.
• No need to pay premium rates to your network provider.
• Just send an SMS at normal rates to tweet your thoughts.
• you will be able to tweet anytime(24*7) of the day.

Steps to Register & Tweet ::

1. Start by simply clicking the button below.
2. Next you will be redirected back here so that you can enter the mobile number with which you wish to tweet.
   
3. Then just send an sms  “REGISTER <twitter username> <twitter password>” and send it to 09220092200 (Mumbai)  or 09243000111 (Bangalore - worked incase of me) . Once you get the confirmation that your registration was successful you can start tweeting.
4. Tweeting becomes as simple as sending an sms. Just send “TWT <your message>” to 09220092200(Mumbai) or 09243000111(Bangalore - preferred). If everything went well then you will receive the latest mention of yours.
5. For Reading Updates (Receiving SMS is completely FREE) SMS:

1. TWUP : This will return latest tweet from your timeline. E.g. SMS TWUP to 9243000111
   
2. TWUP <n>: This will return n’th tweet from your timeline. E.g. SMS TWUP 10 will return 10th tweet from your timeline.
3. Remember that 10th tweet is relative to time you sent the message. If an hour later you receive some more tweets, your 10th tweet will be different
4. TWUP <username>: This will return the latest tweet in your timeline from <username>. <username> can either be a full twitter handle of your friend whose tweet you want or a part of it. For example “SMS TWUP golchha21“ to get latest tweet from @golchha21.
