World's First Nationwide Bill to Ban Fur

Israeli Knesset Member Nitzan Horowitz has introduced the world's first nationwide bill to ban fur, called "Prohibiting the Industry of Fur." If it becomes law, this bill would prohibit the production, sale, and importation of all fur products throughout Israel. This historic bill has been successfully approved for voting before the House of Representatives, thanks to the initiative of the Israeli Minister of Justice Yaakov Neeman.

With this new bill, Israel could take a giant leap forward from having no existing law concerning fur to potentially becoming the first nation on the planet to completely protect all fur-bearing animals—bringing an end to the suffering and death of countless animals confined on fur farms. Such a progressive step up would make Israel a role model for other countries.

To show your support and to encourage the passage of this bill, please use this link to send an e-mail to the Israeli Minister of Justice Yaakov Neeman encouraging him to continue his support for this historic bill to end the fur industry in Israel.
